Planete des Crocodiles, about an hour drive, north east, Near chauvingny, Geant de la Ciel. (Bird Show) Dienne, tree adventure, all ages! and fontaine le comte (near Poitiers) La Rochelle, and the coast... Beaches Aquarium shops etc. .. A long day out! Nautilis swimming pool 55 mins,  angouleme with slides Themepark Futuroscope, numerous IMAX's. . Show at end of day worth staying for Fantastic day out for all St Martin L'ars, great kiddie lake, swimming beach.   St Macoux-  nice swimming lake with slide. Confolens is 20 mins away, Kayak on the river. Outdoor pool with fun slides and diving boards. Great music festival usually the second week in august. War Memorial village at Oradour-sur-Glane left as it happened 1944 and Memorial at Chasseneuil Velorail  from Romazierre or Confolens. (Book First)Really good fun, quite hard work!
